What people are actually saying
the usefulness of a degree is dictated by the school’s prestige for recruitment of top level employers or professional graduate school programs college educations are not actually worth it for the education itself especially today where being an autodidact is easier than ever
@winexviv I do not agree with this post. With how expensive university education is in Nigeria as of today, no parents would want their kids to go study forestry or one other useless course, all in the name of getting into university at all cost. No parent is ready to waste money…
@Edwins0n Private German universities is a waste of time and money apart from a select few. I will never advise you to join a private university in Germany. Low quality and very expensive
@kanukingsley601 @mariolexxx It’s cheap that’s why they are borrowing excessive money to go uni… You know nothing bro. I hope Nigeria economy and livelihood get better for everyone but that amount is not expensive for a university degree. Most see it as a waste of money self.
@WallStreetApes The first class you taken in college or better yet the last one you take in high school should we calculating the return on investment of a college degree. It clearly is not worth it for this person.
@crawlings13 Jobs in research are SCARCE and then once you get one it's not even worth it. Just got a job in research and will be making less money than if I just worked at a restaurant and I have 2 years of experience and a college degree
@FlorinPop17 Never paid to any course other than college degree (not worth it), I believe in yt

Till today, i regret telling my mum not to waste her money sending me to a private university. Most of the real valuable people I know Till today are from the expensive private secondary schools I attended back then.
@Bitcoin_Teddy And if you are paying $3200 for rent and $10 for eggs all it proves is that a current college degree is not worth the paper it’s written on. Good grief
What the "patriarchy" actually is some poor dumb bastard making sure the money they spent at that expensive university wasn't a waste thank goodness George Carlin was right huh?
@Dust_Vikings Seems like companies are loosening those standards, realizing a college degree isn't always worth what it once was. Not sure if NFL teams are sharing that sentiment yet though.
@Landser088 @Crime_In_NYC They make such a small hourly salary for the first five years. It's not worth it for someone to get a college degree to make less than a fast food employee. "FDNY EMT starting salaries are approximately $39,000 to $47,000 per year, often around $18–$22 p…
@kevinxu Hair stylist just told me that she is going to college when you husband finishes. Said she didn't know what degree to go for. I told her not to go. It's not worth the debt and bullshit if you have no idea what you want to do with it.
Even young people, who once viewed a four-year degree as a golden ticket to a secure, comfortable middle-class life, now see college as a financial deadweight that guarantees neither economic success nor upward mobility. https://t.co/xDlHsPcATS
