I don't want to destroy social media platforms. I do want to see very public and energetic public campaigns against smartphone and social media addiction.
This is the right approach: the harm to kids that social media companies KNOW about + refuse to mitigate is a public health concern. (Many adults also have lost hope, motivation, ability to launch or hold relationships/jobs, etc. due to digital addiction, so it’s not just kids.)
